Magic Training for Anyone

Magic training can be very aggravating if you don't have the money or fighting ability to get If you're a first time Runescape player then you would have to train up your combat levels or "Money Making Skills" like smithing, mining, and woodcutting to be able to get the rune drops from monsters or have enough money to buy them. Once you get into the higher levels, that trickle of runes you might have isn't going to last very long. If you choose to buy them, you can waist a lot of money because runes can become very expensive. There is a way to avoid all of this and have a fairly decent Magic level with a little work. cheap runescape powerleveling

This "way" is what I call Rune-Running. In Lumbridge, with all the tutors, there is a group of three by the general store for the skills range, melee, and magic. The magic tutor is the one you are interested in. Create a whole bunch of accounts, I have 10 to do the job, and walk all of them over to the magic tutor's location. Make sure you do not have any AIR or MIND runes in your bank but rather have all of them in your inventory. Now, drop your mind and air runes 5 or so blocks away from the magic tutor (don't worry, it takes a full minute for another player to see them and be able to pick them up) and right click on the Magic tutor and click claim Magic tutor (make sure you don't click range tutor). You will get 30 air and 30 mind runes from her. Pick up your air and mind runes you dropped and log out. Log back in on another account and do the same thing. You can do this every 30 minutes so keep track of the time; have a little break in between “claimings” and after a while you will have quite a bit of runes on your accounts. Now what you do is have a good friend (one that you know in real life and that you can beat up if he takes your runes) get all your runes to one account by trading, or visit "how to double log in" article in my profile, and start training your magic!

Steps I recommend to train magic:

1: Complete the quests Witch's Potion and Imp Catcher, this will get you up to lv 10 and give you a jump start on your magic training. They might be a little aggravating (especially Imp Catcher with those stupid but they will be worth it. (You can get help from Runehq.com)

2: Buy an earth staff and use earth strike on cows or chickens or some low level creature like those. Keep training until your runes run out. As your level increases you might want to find harder opponents like Al Kharid warriors or farmers or something.

NOTE: When you get into higher-level opponents, you might want to find something to fight behind to cut down on using food.

If you don't have enough money for an earth staff, then go to the Lumbridge cow field and pick up cow hides. Get a couple inventories full, around 100 will do, and go to Varrok west bank or Al Kharid bank and sell them for 50-100gp each. This should get you around 7k and more than enough to buy all four elemental staffs. cheap runescape powerleveling

3: Once your runes run out, if your level is now around 22 or more, you have two choices, if you're not above 22, go to step 4. Your two choices are: to go to step 4 and continue with Rune-Running, or start casting wind bolt in step 5.

4: If you are not a high enough level to be good at wind bolt, or you want to continue with the simple method of Rune-Running, then continue Rune-Running. Keep "claiming" runes and trading them to your account (or you can mine rune ess (rune mysteries quest required) and craft them yourself) and by doing this, you can get to a good level pretty quickly. Just stick to it, and then when you think you can move on, go to step 5.

5: If you go with wind bolt, then you'll need the "guts" and "stuff" to be able to go into level 40 wilderness and survive. The spot you're going to is a semi-popular pking spot but there usually aren't people there. There are, however, level 42 moss giants. So you if you can't survive these obstacles, stick with rune running or rune crafting. If you're up for the challenge then here's what you do. Go to the northeast part of Edgville where there is a bridge. Cross is and head a couple steps east along the wilderness border. You should have your inventory filled with however much food you can hold with one empty space (for the chaos runes your going to pick up) or unless if you can teleport then three spaces will be tele runes instead of food. You can wear armor if you want but it weighs a lot and magic pkers could kill you easily. Head straight up and along the way if you pass “graveyard of shadows” and “ruins” then you're on the right track. When your getting close, the ground will turn yellow, when it does, follow the rim of yellow around to the west (because there are skeletons and stuff on top of the hill) keep watching the hill and eventually it should dip down into a tiny valley, there will be chaos runes that spawn here and respawn every so often. Activate your run and collect the chaos runes, staying away from the moss giants and collect a total of 6 or 7 chaos runes. (if you don't want to be hit at all, there is one rune that spawns on the north west part of the hill behind a little tree. The giants never go back that far and you will be safe…from the GIANTS, not pkers *gasp*) If you see a white dot appear on your mini map then log out (or not depending if you want to fight) and switch worlds. If he/she starts to attack you and you can't log out, run until they can't attack you or you can teleport (level 20 wilderness)

While you're here, you can bring an air staff with you and use wind bolt on the giants but that's up to you.

From here its just hard training and if you have the guts you can get the chaos from the wildy or if you have the money you can buy chaos until you can use death then you can buy those or get them from monster drops.

Using this method I got my magic up to 10 with the two quests then up to 44 with 3k air and mind runes from Rune-Running. I now take a trip every so often into the wildy for chaos and now have 150 chaos runes in my bank. 3k runes might sound like a lot but 3000 divided by 10 (accounts) is 300 and divide that by 30 (for how many you get each “claim”) is 10. That means you “claimed” 10 times on you accounts and if you play an hour a day, you can claim twice achieving 3k air and mind runes in 5 days. If you play more than an hour a day then you can get the runes even faster.
